Kirsten Black

Professor Kirsten Black (MBBS, M.Med, FRANZCOG, FFSRH, PhD, DDU) is an academic gynaecologist and Professor of Sexual and Reproductive Health at the University of Sydney. She is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians' and Gynaecologists' and a member of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health in the UK. Her PhD from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine examined access to emergency contraception. Prof Black chairs RANZCOG’s Sexual and Reproductive Health Commitee and in this role has developed national RANZCOG guidelines and training programs in SRH. She is co-chair of the National Preconception Health Network in Australia. Prof Black works clinically at a tertiary referral hospital in the areas of contraception, preconception care and menopause.
